We stopped a quick lunch right around the summit. It was busy, but not crowded. The gentleman who accepts our order seemed to recognize us as the first timer, but was patient and personal. We have fish and chips, New England Clam Chowder and a lobster grilled cheese. My favourite was the fish fillet, super fresh, light and flocky, with an airy panko style coating. The cooking oil was obviously fresh and everything was golden brown perfection. It may be the middle of winter, but I felt for a moment the rays of the summer sun reflected by beach waves!
I went home and felt like fish. That was the closest to me then. The first time here; the people were out at noon, and there was a line inside. I realized why it was so packed. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The place was clean and secret. And last but not least the food was great! My son enjoyed his fish and chips. It's hard to make him eat fish so that the fact that he finished his food was proof for me. Don't wait to come back here.
Listen, this is/was my first job ever when I was in high school. I always loved the food here. I don't really like fish or eat it but I will eat the fish sandwich, lobster and fried clam strips here (spicy fish sandwich also great). Loaded chili cheese dog is my favorite. Burgers are yummy too. Fresh food made to order. Enjoy! Beats McDonald's, BK and Wendy's any day.... hands down.
Been Enjoy Mickeys For the 70s, when they foot long hot dogs, hairs and a soda for .76 cents they also had 5 cent hot dogs. We used to play basketball. The foot long dogs are gone, but if I'm in East hardford I stop it a point in I can say a thing to describe mickeys: in 48 years I never had a meal that I don't enjoy. Quality is great and service is always tops.
