This restaurant is truly a classic and one of my all-time favorite sushi spots. If you're looking for great value, be sure to visit between 11:30 AM and 3 PM from Monday to Saturday. Yes, that's right—Saturdays are included in the lunch special menu! In my opinion, the best deal for sushi here is the offer of any three rolls for just $12.95. For quality, you can come any day of the week. One of my favorite specialty rolls is the Blue Crab Fantastic Roll, which features BBQ eel and avocado on the inside, topped with marinated blue crab and the chef's spicy creamy sauce. This place is definitely one of the most reliable restaurants I've come across; they never disappoint!
Midori is a good place to eat sushi. Used to be my go to place for sushi in HP based on price. The quality is ok- not the freshest but price beat Sushiana for example. Food: 3/5 The quality of the fish used in the sushi rolls are OK, not the greatest but not bad either. Definitely a good place to grab a quick bite. Price: 4/5 Good prices especially their lunch specials! Average: 3.5 (rounding up to a 4) Honestly after Mr. Pi's Sushi-Kumamoto opened up that has now become my go to because the freshness of the fish is much better with extremely comparable prices
I love this place and this is my go to place when I am craving sushi! Midori sushi is one of the best known restaurants in Highland Park and for good reason, their food is great! I have been to a few more Japanese restaurants and I think Midori sushihas the best quality. Their menu is reasonably priced and their food is always fresh and tasty. When they had indoor sittingbefore covid hit, they had a very nice sitting ambiance that was ideal for a date. Overall, great menu, quality and price.
We tried this place for the first time. I would give it a one star. The place had so many ants under one of the back tables. The dishes were not cleaned properly. They service you with to-go trays instead of regular dishes while dining in.. It looks run down Then the quality of fish is poor. The rolls tasted old. My whole family was sick a few hours after eating the meal. We will not be returning.

For the past two years, Midori has undoubtedly been the best sushi restaurant around. Having lived in Brooklyn for 30 years and seen some of the finest sushi spots in the Northeast, I can confidently say that Midori stands out. Be sure to try their amazing rolls!

We ordered our food and the order was accurate and timely Taste was great and fresh. Presentation was as good as it could be. We really enjoyed our dinner and can't wait try it again!
The food is very tasty. The sushi is super fresh. They have a great lunch special. They did not get a give star review because the dinner portions are expensive and very small.
