I ordered two large platters of sushi for a party at home. The young lady who took my order was very helpful in my decision on the size and variety of the platters. Two days later I picked up the platters on time without fuss. I was also impressed with the carry bag that came with the platters. Most important of all, the sushi were of very good quality; large topping with not too much rice. They were obviously freshly made and nicely presented. Highly recommended for healthy party food.
Have bought sushi (the nicest in Belco mall in my opinion) many times. They make it on site (so you get to see what is happening). The outer coating is not too thick and plenty of filling in their rolls. One thing is, you have to pay for the soy sauce. I didn't even realise till my daughter noticed the small sign. I am a regular and this is a favourite grab and go place.
We tend to have some sushi/sashimi from this little but extremely busy take away stall. They do turn over the food quite rapidly around lunch time so everything is quite fresh. Kid's love the seaweed salad in the new and convenient containers. They are prepackaged in little cryo-vac bags you can rip and pour into the plastic bowl ready to eat. I enjoy the mixed plate!
After taking notice of Miki last time I visited the mall, I decided to try it for the first time today. I am so glad I did. The sushi rolls are very generous in size and taste; which is no wonder as they are freshly prepared. I had a Teriyaki Chicken roll, which was tasty and very filling. From a distance, Miki looks like most Sushi bars. Take away boxes and individual sushis are on display, but that is where the comparison ends. Miki Sushi tastes just great, and appears to be made with a bit more flair and thought than most. I loved the "Beautiful Box" for $9.80.
I picked up a couple of black rice sushi on Thursday and they were delicious. Sunday was back at the mall and decided to try a few more. We had the tuna with brown rice and it was one of the tastiest sushi rolls I have ever had.
Was really hungry so I decided to try one of their hot foods. Glad to see that actually made it fresh. You do have to wait about 5 mins but its totally worth it. The crispy chicken with teriyaki mayo sauce is just so delish.
They do make really yummy sushi at Miki. I especially like their black rice rolls and also appreciate their gluten free options. I do feel like the rolls could be perhaps 10 cents less as they are rather pricey. Réservez une table maintenant
Great new addition to the local mall. Huge variety of options, I love the classic Salmon and Avo. The after 5(?) value boxes are great value. Definitely the pick of the bunch for sushi in Belconnen
