I stayed in Premier Inn next door, so had evening meal here. Very nice helpful staff, only small down side; if your on your own its bar service giving table number, so you could lose your table if busy if no coat or item to show table taken. Nice menu, little limited for veggies, however I had a very nice cheese pie with mash and peas, which I very much enjoyed. Reasonable pricing for food and drinks, they also run promotational nights, ie..Currey night including a drink etc. I would recommend you give this place a go, if you havent been before. I personall would be back next time in Chester.
My husband and I enjoyed a three-course meal at this pub this evening. It is a lively and clean establishment with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, smiling, and very polite. The food was exceptional, with generous portions that left us feeling satisfied. I would definitely consider returning in the future. This pub is a standout within the Joseph Holt Chain and comes highly recommended.
We try to visit The Mill at least every six weeks, our best pub/restaurant. They have recently had a new menu which is truly amazing. I had the best fish and chips ever. Real fresh fish, crunchy thin batter and delicious scraps and my hubby enjoys the steak and ale pie, his favourite and always choses this when we visit. Don't miss out, visit next time you're on the way to Chester, its a must.
We had our Daughters Christening party here, what an amazing pub! The staff are very helpful and friendly, they go above and beyond for the customers! The buffet was amazing, all the food was perfect, even the food that had to be catered for allergies was 5*. Thank you so much for making our daughters day so special and for all your help! Will definitely be back for future functions!

I work for a 4 star hotel. And have the pleasure of thier meals. But the Sunday lunch we had at the mill was outstanding. Well done Luke and the rest of the team. As always fantastic service from Amy James and George. And not forgetting new comer Megan. All are a triumph members of Mickey and Olivia team. One of best places to eat in Chester.
If you have a lot of patience, then definitely come here. We had to wait 45 minutes between our main course and dessert. The food was alright, but the two servers, who are young girls, seemed indifferent. The service was terrible, as they were more focused on changing the TV channels than attending to customers.
We stayed at the Premier Inn next door for two nights and ate at this restaurant both times because it was so welcoming. The staff, who were different each night, were outstanding. The food was delicious and we would definitely recommend this place.
Food is amazing Service is amazing Staff are welcoming and attentive We’ve been twice in the last two months so a work meal and both times we have all been 100% impressed. Toilets are super clean too. Would 100% recommend!

Coming here for dinner after setting in to my new accomodation for university. The food is delicious. The staff are so lovely. I had the slow cooked veef brisket flat bread
