"Came here on a Saturday afternoon on a whim. I guess there's only one person working here. He was in the middle of a tasting tour with another group, so we waited 20 minutes for them to finish up so we could start our tasting tour. Another 15 minutes after they ended, he said we would wait to gather more people. There were about three other groups waiting. My friend and I grew impatient and left. He seemed very informative and well received by the group before us though, so I'm sure the tour was very good and interesting."

Quaint, delicious and off the beaten path. We have enjoyed millstone ciders for over a year now compliments of friends but wanted to experience the ambiance ourselves. Driving up to millstone you are immediately sent back to the revolutionary days of old farms and stone mills. Surrounded by trees, this newly remodeled old wood and stone mill retains its true heritage and serves to make the areas most unique ciders. Although not wheelchair friendly, we enjoyed the free reign to explore the building, meandering about on the 3 floors and reading the hand written chalk labeling of upcoming flavors. We settled down at a farm table with 2 other couples and enjoyed live music while we sampled a fli...

Hipster. Cider. Nature. Foodie. If those words appeal to you, you'll love this place. Millstone Cellars is set inside a cute multi-story rustic barn that you can explore by joining a complimentary tour. Our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide described the meadery's history, their cider-making process, where they source their ingredients from, and the seasonal events they host. My friends and I tremendously enjoyed ourselves throughout our experience, from basking in the cool summer breeze in the open air barn, to sampling delicious ciders in the tasting room. All ciders tasted very unique. We liked the more conventional flavors like asian pear and apple just as much as the more intriguing...

So this place has a hipster feel and yet not exclusionary. Tours and samplings of over a dozen ciders are free, so it 's a great place to take a little picnic (their website encourages it! . Came with some friends in December. It 's an old mill (i.e. poorly insulated so it was quite cold when we went there in December. There 's a lovely outside deck that overlooks the millstone well; when the weather 's warm, I imagine this is a pleasant place to enjoy some food and cider! Most of their ciders are on the dry side. In general, their few sweeter ones are only semi-sweet. I happen to like a dry cider, but I was puckering up for a while after drinking so many dry ciders. Return a bottle for a $1...

Decided to check out Millstone Cellars during their Treat yourself weekend! I had a lot of fun exploring the restored building. It felt as though we had gone back in time with all the wood barrels, old machinery, waterwheel in the back and slightly drafty building! It was A Pinterest lovers dream. I could see some beautiful photo shoots happening on this location. We were able to taste 8 ciders for free and then an apple brandy which was 3 dollars. Some of the ciders were paired with cheese and chocolate from Charlottetown farms. Those were absolutely delicious!! (Goat milk feta.. Mm mm) Don't expect these ciders to be sweet, that's not what it is! But they certainly make an excellent produc... Réservez une table maintenant

WE HAVE HEARD WORD AS OF 7/14 that Millstone is likely closed! We stopped by today after multiple websites confirmed they were open, to find the door locked and nobody there. Another group showed up shortly after we did and said they drove 40 miles with visiting friends from Toronto and were very disappointed. We dropped by a liquor store about 5 mins away that carried their mead, and the employee there told us he believes they're done with business altogether, or at least are taking a hiatus he drives by almost every day and says there has been no activity whatsoever for the past month or so. So to all considering coming, I would backseat that idea altogether, or at least call and see if th...

This charming cider mill in Monkton is truly remarkable. Although it appears small from the outside, stepping inside reveals a spacious interior filled with cider barrels, artistic touches, and a delightful countryside vibe. The rustic atmosphere, accentuated by strings of hanging lights, gives it a nostalgic feel reminiscent of a scene from an '80s movie—think of the final party scene in "Footloose"! My wife and I enjoyed a bluegrass band (cleverly named Fried Pickin!) this past Friday, sitting just a few feet away on bales of hay draped in burlap. Could it get any better? While they don’t offer food to accompany their impressive selection of ciders, meads, and cysers (a food truck would be...

The tastings and tours are both free and a lot of fun. You can walk in anytime between 12 and 6 on a Saturday or Sunday and join the next tour starting from the entrance. Over about thirty minutes, you'll be shown around the building, learn about its history, and discover how the drinks are made. The staff is exceptionally friendly; even after conducting tours all day, they remained enthusiastic and excited to share the experience with us. After the tour, they offer small sample pours of several of their beverages, including some rarer selections, which was a delightful surprise. You’re also welcome to hang out upstairs afterward, where you can drink from three taps, fill growlers, and pur...

I visited on a beautiful fall afternoon—perfect weather for it! Just a heads up, the parking lot is VERY small, so we ended up using a friend's car to get there. During our visit, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary glass, tour, and tasting! It's worth mentioning that many other places charge for those extras, so it made for a more affordable experience than we anticipated. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the available ciders as they were all a bit more sour than I typically enjoy. However, I do appreciate that their ingredients are locally sourced, which is a nice perk for those who do like cider! Réservez une table maintenant

This is one of my new favorite places to take friends who are visiting in town. There's a free cider tasting and tour of the mill, and everything looks rustic AF. Love it--totally my aesthetic. If you're into sour and dry ciders (also ceysers and meads , this is definitely the place for you. Everything they make here is all natural and they have a lot of experimental, creative, small-batch ciders that cycle every season/year, which adds some fun variety to their classic winners. Definitely do the tasting, then head up to the tasting room, order your fave cider and have a picnic (bring your own food! .
