Our first dine out experience since the shut down and it didn't disappoint. This is my favorite restaurant in the area and we couldn't wait to get back to sit down dining. It is currently outdoor only but they have lovely patios in the front as well as the back. The staff did a great job making patrons feel comfortable as far as distancing, masks and are ontop of cleaning. They also have arrows on the floor to guide you in the direction to walk to limit your contact with other patrons or staff. Great restaurant in the middle of New London. I tried my wife's cod and it was superb. Nice crust with great flavor and cooked to tender perfection. My meatloaf was very good, but the cod was the star. The burrata salad was great as was the potato leak soup again, my wife's soup beat out my choice of burrata but both were delicious. Nice wine list, pleasant service, comfortable atmosphere. I'd recommend 74 Main without hesitation.
Not too many options for dining in New London, so we gave this restaurant a try. Our main courses were very disappointing. Lamb shank with mashed potatoes, mushy Brussels sprouts and Baked cod with the same mashed potatoes and sad, little shriveled green beans. Both dishes would have benefited from a little sauce. At more than $30 each entree, it was money basically wasted. Will not return.
We enjoyed our dinner especially the waiter Eliza Brussels Sprouts were great Caesar salad a bit lacking w/ shrimp Shrimp were not hot /not cold needed to be grilled I think or provide shrimp cocktail sauce Overall , a very nice time

3 appetizers 2 entrees were great, but one entree was served cold when I brought this to the servers attention she returned with a very hot but badly overdone entree, which I declined to accept after taking a single bite
The food was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were just right. Sarah provided excellent service as our server. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Hidden gem! Both steak tips and cod were amazing. Great service, very cosy interior. Highly recommended! Great espresso machine and good coffee as well.
Food was terrific. Service was excellent (albeit it was a quiet night, so as you would expect), and wine was really good too.
