Minato Sushi Japanese Restaurant

I recently tried Minato Sushi for the first time while visiting the east coast, and I was blown away by the amazing food! The prices have recently been updated, so you can check out the most up-to-date menu as of June 2023. The restaurant is housed in a charming old school pink building that really stands out. Run by a husband and wife team, the atmosphere is filled with kind and generous vibes. If you're looking for delicious Japanese food, I highly recommend giving Minato Sushi a try!

Stopped by for lunch. They weren't open on time but it didn't take too long for service to start. The broth was good although I feel like the toppings were lacking in variety and quantity in comparison to what I would expect based on how much I paid. In any case, food came quickly, staff were friendly, and restaurant felt quite cozy. It was a good experience.

This place is very cozy and nice place to have Japanese food. The owner, chef James and his wife were very kind and friendly. We had chef's special sushi and roll plater and an extra roll on the side plus tempura for two people. It was too much food for us two but we killed it!!!!! It was sooooo goooood especially scallop sushi was the best one for me :

A great expensive experience I had here. BBQ eel nigiri is awesome, sake is perfect, tuna belly sashimi is highly recommended and the salmon sushi roles are super delicious because of the Korean sushi rice. Will come again soon. Visiting again after a long time: It's even better. Just give the eel role a try followed by sake and miso soup. Réservez une table maintenant

had a wonderful time at Minato, enjoyed the veggie dragon roll sweet potato tempura roll! everything came out very fast, the sushi was INCREDIBLE. super fresh delicious. could not recommend enough! plus, the restaurant is in a nice walking area, has really cute window seats. My husband and I went for dinner earlier and we had a great time. Good service and quality food. Had bbq eel, chicken karage and Minato Ramen. The roasted brown rice tea was really good. We'll definitely come back.

I had the best sushi experience of my life at Minato Sushi in Halifax! It's truly a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed.

I love the yokohama and his spicy sauce is the best! Oh and if sushi isn't your thing his wifes Korean food is so good! Réservez une table maintenant
