I'll be 100% honest. We drove off the first time we pulled in the parking lot. It was empty. The building looked abandoned and not kept up at all. After googling best pizza in town, Mirino's kept coming up. We tried it and we've been buying dinner here several times a month since we moved to DeLand (March 2022). The pizza is the best we've had in this area and closest to New York Style pizza. The dough though! We have not had any issues here, we call it in and pickup in 20-40 minutes depending on the day/time. Staff could use some customer service/etiquette lessons.
They close at 8pm. We had a game night going on at a family members house called in an order of 7 pies, 24 wings and 2 giant pieces of cheesy garlic bread at around 7:15pm the pizza place had it all ready to go for 8:05pm and even threw in some (free to us) garlic knots! Everyone enjoyed the food the pizza was great and the wings were a good size as well which I find hard to come by with food prices now a days. Overall a great experience, great food and very nice people. Thank you again!
16 Sept 2022 Pizza here is hit or miss unfortunately. Sometimes it's very good... Other times (like today) it's not the best. I was served two slices that were clearly dried out after reheating in their oven. Bottom crust was very dark even slightly black in spots and the cheese had that dryish look... Wasn't white and wet/oily looking. I'll prob try again.... But Mirino's, please ensure the pizza is not overcooked, but is instead fresh when serving the lunch special slices. Thanks!
