Miss Griffins Footlong Hot Dogs

I admit it I'm a hot dog junkie. I am constantly on the lookout for little hot dog joints to get my fix. Today, I stumbled upon a great find in downtown Chattanooga Griffins.I know from the reviews that it's only new to me. But I loved my Junk Yard Dog. Wow all that smokey, bacony, BBQ goodness! The dogs are true footlongs they even cut them in half for you. One is plenty for most but I did see some patrons ordering two.The dogs are smoked you can see the pink smoke ring all around it. And the toppings were fresh and perfectly complimented the dog.The area is a bit rough but I felt perfectly safe among my fellow hot dog aficionados. I will be back to try other offerings for sure. This was one of the best hot dogs I've had anywhere. Very friendly service. High quality ingredients. It's small, but it was comfortable and authentic.I tried a classic: cheese, Coney sauce, and bacon. The bun was so soft, the temperature was perfect, and the Coney sauce was delicious. They piled on crumbled bacon! Honestly, it might be worth the two-hour drive from Atlanta when I crave one next week ... and there's no doubt I'll think about this from time to time.

I have ate at Mrs. Griffins for a long time and remember her very well. The relish that they put on it is not as good as hers, but I will continue to eat there.

One of the best Hotdogs you can buy. Great little place to grab a quick lunch. Super fast service and you will love the options they have.
