We were not impressed by Missoula and were actually disappointed as they were recommended to us. We visited on the hottest day of the year so far and their air conditioning was just not up to scratch. We also couldnt have sat outside if we wanted to because they had no umbrellas for shade and the outside area was not presented well. I booked a table for 20.10.2020 for my Daughters birthday @1pm. Manager on the phone and waitress working behind bar, no one acknowledged us, eventually waitress came over. No happy birthday which I thought might be a nice gesture as they ask if its a special occasion when you book, anyway shown to table, took drinks order and then after a while I had to call someone over to take food order, nothing major just 2 sub rolls both chicken one on white one on brown. I made a last minute booking on your website for Slug and Lettuce and received a confirmation for this. However on arrival I was told that we could not get our table because they no longer use your website and could not offer us a table as they were fully booked. I find this to be very very poor as we had to cancel our lunch due to this and we could not find anywhere else in the area to get a table. Had this been updated by OpenTable or the Restaurant I would have probably been able to book a table elsewhere at the time instead of going there and being turned away. Very disappointed by this service.
Felt a bit pressured to move onto the next stages of the meal despite the place not being particularly busy. Had to tell the waitress twice to please come back in a few minutes after she started to clear plates away before people at the table had all finished. We were sat right under a speaker and once the volume went up in the whole place for the dancefloor downstairs, conversation became almost impossible.

They didn't have a lot of the things in the menu. Food was reheated and not even properly as was cold in the middle, calamari were soggy and so on. All the menus were filthy and sticky. When ask staff to clean table they didn't bother to do it... We won't be back, was the first time, and would not recommend this place to anyone for lunch

Website said meal deal £10 for food and drink but this was not available. Website out of date. We could not find restaurant as it did not say Slug and Lettuce outside! Having said that the service and food was excellent.
Terrible food! Steak was over priced and like rubber. The waitress was rude and they forgot half of our food which meant our food was cold by time we had our sides brought out! Big mistake choosing Missoula!
