Mitzi's Chicken Finger

I guess this place would fall into the category of a Winnipeg Institution....it 's sort of a hole in the wall. I 'm pretty sure the decor hasn 't changed since the place first opened but it 's a cozy little place that serves up chicken fingers (made with real chicken meat...not the processed kind from your grocer 's freezer) and Chinese food. Some say that this is the best chicken finger place in town and I would agree in my past life when I loved this kind of stuff but my palate has changed a bit. I usually go here because I get dragged by coworkers. But if you 're a chicken finger fan, this is the place to go. The chicken finger batter is really crisp and flavourful and the meat is really tender. The line ups at this place can be crazy, especially on pay day Friday. The fries reminds me of the McCain crinkle fries...they might be from McCains too. The coleslaw that comes with the chicken finger and fries is a nice tangy contrast to the fried food. I usually get the 5 pc chicken finger meal with salad, it comes to just over $10 after tax and it the perfect amount of food for me. I think it 's only cash and debit here.

3.5/5, .5 for service It sounds like a very simple dish, but seriously this place knows how to do chicken fingers. Mitzi's is your definition of a family-style restaurant. No eye candy, no special decorations, just straight up great quality food. I had the 5 piece chicken fingers and greens with a soup. The soup wasn't anything special, just typical consomme soup. I probably would've gone with rice or french fries next time. However the chicken fingers are absolutely delicious. I don't know how they do it, but they should never change at all. The greens consist of mostly veggies. Nothing to write home about, but it's not bad at all. Service was excellent, as is expected for a family restaurant. I'll definitely return here if I'm craving chicken fingers.

Mitzi is a casual family restaurant. They serve the best chicken finders in town!!!! Whenever my significant other and I are craving for chicken fingers, we will make a drive to Mitzi! The service is great and the food arrives quick upon ordering! They are very reasonably priced and the quality of food is excellent! The chicken fingers are crispy and non-greasy. You can honestly go in and out and be filled with a delicious meal in half an hour! Check it out and you won't regret it!!!

Wow, they do chicken fingers right. The best in Manitoba! Their honey doll dip is perfect. Can't get enough. We always order more just to take it home. The Other food, Chinese dishes are great as well. Service is super and the owner is a hoot! Strict lady, but she gets the job done and always with a smile. Highly recommend!!

Mitzis is always my goto place when I'm in Winnipeg and I bring everybody with me to try there chicken fingers and everybody leaves knowing mitzis is the best in manitoba hands down.
