I won’t be back- service was terrible. If you haven’t been to this type of restaurant you are seated with anyone to fill the table. The party of 4 that came about 20min after we had got there got their salad and soup before we did even though we had just ordered. I thought maybe it was a mistake they had given it to them and they didn’t even order food yet. But no we waited another 10-15 min after and received it. Miso soup was not good not traditional with the tofu just had some mushrooms in it and salad was drenched with dressing. The food and the time spent with the chef was fantastic. Super entertaining and did a great job on our meals. The waiter, was just the worst. We sat down at 7:56, got our drinks at 8:44. He also completely forgot our appetizers and never checked on us to see if we needed more drinks or water refills. This person is in serious need of some training, as is the management for allowing this to happen. If I owned this restaurant I would be really frustrated to have gotten so many things right and had it all fall apart part over someone who just doesn’t seem to care about doing their job well. This is the new location in Renton, they've done a great job in transforming the old Shari's into a place of their own.The wife and I showed up a half hour early for a party of 14, we were hoping to have a couple of cocktails and sushi rolls before everyone arrived. But because this location has no bar seating and they refused to seat us until our entire party was present they missed out on making what could have been another $60 dollars plus tips. It was disappointing, but now we know there's no point in showing up early to this location.Everything else was just great!
Really disappointed. Very rude waiter. Rice and steak was flavorless. Came in with 3 people (myself and kids) as we waited for 2 more (mom/kid). There were two checks as we are two different families. We were both charged gratuity….. Very scammy and deceitful location. Stay away from Renton location. Réservez une table maintenant
They are clearly still working on getting this new location up running but were able to provide good food fun. Loved the calamari shrimp combo! Others in our party liked their steak fried rice. We will try it again soon. Please turn on the heat though...we wore our jackets the whole time.
