We did the chefs tasting menu. This was the only place with open reservation. Honestly it was ok but it was no where close to 135$ plus 22%. The service was great. Presentation was ok. I enjoyed maybe 2 of the dishes and the flavor didn't really hit with the main courses. The pork with peanuts just ruined the taste. The sun fish lacked flavor. It was simple and the taste wasn't there for the price. What really hit was the deserts. They felt more professional and the flavor was unique. The portions also left a lot to desire. Simply: the experience was exceptional. There is a level of "good" that makes you satisfied, and there is another level of good that shifts your perspective of evaluation entirely. Each dish of the Chef's Choice (well worth it) didn't "inspire a feeling from the past", they acted as a time-machine: I found myself transported to enjoyable experiences I hadn't remembered in a decade. As much as I tried, I couldn't help but laugh (literally, laugh) as I first tasted each dish... either out of pure awe and appreciation for how fantastic the food was, or maybe, how simple I must be. In this case, on this occassion, I didn't care which. I could add how each course, or the perfectly aged Old Fashio...
It was a wonderful dining experience with so much individual attention to us (celebrating our anniversary) and amazing detail to each course served. We were able to request the tasting menu Gluten Free for my allergy and they didn't miss a beat at serving one of the most amazing meals of my life along with perfect wine pairings for each course. BRAVO!
