So, where to begin. We went here for New Year 's Eve, because they were having live music. Needless to say, the band called Crush played reallly good 80 's music, BUT, the service was terrible!! After we drank our first drink, we went back to the bar to get another drink, we stood there waiting for about 10 minutes or so, watching 4 bartenders going back and forth, so disorganized, totally being ignored!! Finally we got one of the gals attention only to be told she 'd be back after she got the people in line, that actually we were there before they were. Historic downtown Gresham is quite charming—it's easy to walk around and there are many spots to eat and drink. We stopped for lunch at this classic American diner. However, the experience had a few drawbacks. Firstly, it was uncomfortably cold, with nearly every customer bundled up in heavy coats at their tables. Secondly, while the waitress was excellent, she was responsible for all the tables as well as the cash register. She worked diligently but struggled to keep up, resulting in slow service. Sometimes you can eat in a depressing atmosphere and it cheers you up because you know you will never eat in that particular establishment again and it also helps you because you know your not as bad off as others. I ate a breakfast here shortly after exploring the Gresham Japanese Garden. The place was practically empty. I was kind of hopeful when one of the people paid their check and he told the waitress Jeannie that the food was delicious. I ordered eggs and ham with biscuits and gravy. The food was average. Stopped by in the early evening for dinner. On a Tuesday night, it was only me 2 other patrons. I ordered the veggie burger with side salad. Both were good- ranch dressing wasn’t quite what I’m use too, but wasn’t bad. Waitress was friendly. Only issue- I had tried to check out their menu online before going- website had no menus. Very odd. Restaurant is right off Main Street, there’s stores nearby to browse before or after dinner. Was pleased with my dinner. The staff was not willing to adhere to state mask requirements and CDC guidelines. In fact, the waitress made negative remarks while allowing unmasked patrons to be seated inside. This behavior reflects poorly on M and M, and despite the fact that my wife and I have been regular customers, we will not be returning. We are extremely disappointed by this experience but are relieved to avoid any potential risks of Covid exposure. I advise others to steer clear of this establishment. Disappointing!
I recently moved to Gresham, I grew around SE 62nd. My family would go to The M M restaurant with my grand parents often. When I went by I remembered it. Went here with my grandson one Sunday in Sept. the food was better than I remembered. The only thing that was missing was the M M's in the candy dish.
