An amazing casual Persian place right in the heart of Georgetown. From the outside it?s hard to tell what kind of cuisine they serve. It?s a cute little place with amazing food. They do have a few tables on the sidewalk. You order at the counter. Lovedthe Kashak-o-bademjan and the spicy ground chicken kabob. It?s says spicy but it?s really not that spicy but very flavorful. honestly, after 1.5 years of living in DC and trying many many restaurants, Moby Dick stands out as one of the most affordable tasty place. Service is also always amazing, apparently the Persian Chef taught the staff the recipes many years ago, hence food really tastes good. Definitely recommend! Today, we were denied to eat inside the restaurant. We arrived 8:25pm (the restaurant closes at 9:00pm) and the cashier indicated us that we cannot inside and the only option was to take-out. She explained that the kabob takes 12 minutes to cook and it will be not enough time to eat there.This behavior is making customers to not come back there.
Why does this place have high reviews? This is just a “fast paced middle eastern”. Everything is premade and frozen. The sauces are just repackaged, the bread is just reheated frozen trash, the meat wasn’t flavorful… I couldn’t finish it. Never again. Réservez une table maintenant
I came back after 18 years and so happy to see it was still open and the food was just as delicious as I remember. The price was shockingly cheaper than Miami. I ADORE this place and now they have seating. ?Food: 5/5
Lamb and chicken was AMAZING!!! We came around 1:30 and we were able to find parking right outside the side restaurant. Highly suggest going!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Took 30 min to get a pita at lunch, and they weren’t crowded. Apparently that’s normal here. Stay away if you want something quick.
