In 2022, we had the pleasure of ordering amazing, delicious dishes and desserts from Mod India Restaurant for a work event. We recently had another event and once again ordered fantastic dishes and desserts. The service was excellent and the food was the most delicious I have ever had. Sebastian Bhai was a joy to work with when placing our orders. He provided exceptional service and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. The setup of the tables was perfect and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the amazing food and desserts. We will definitely be contacting Sebastian Bhai again for our next event. My husband's family often visits this charming family-owned Indian restaurant and has always been impressed by the service and food. The atmosphere was quiet on a Tuesday night, and the interior was much more attractive than the exterior would suggest. We started with the puffed rice (bhei poori) and asked for a mild recommendation for a second appetizer. Our server suggested the tangi eggplant, which was deliciously crunchy with tamarind sauce. We had a great experience at this hidden gem of an Indian restaurant. The only downside was the continuous singing from the performer near our table, which made it a bit difficult to have a conversation. The food and drink menus had a wide selection of Indian dishes. I started with a Kingfisher beer while my date had water. We shared a tasty appetizer of fried mashed potatoes with dipping sauces. Despite my initial skepticism due to the great reviews, I decided to try Mod Restaurant. I had doubts about the authenticity of the Indian food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The smell of delicious Indian food hit me as soon as we parked our car in the parking lot. Seeing only Indian customers in the restaurant confirmed my suspicions that the food would be good. We ordered fried idli, dahi puri, and chili chicken. The dahi puri and chili chicken were delicious, but I wouldn't order the fried idli again. Wow! This restaurant was a bit tricky to locate, but definitely worth the search! The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were outstanding, and the garlic naan was simply amazing! The service was excellent too! Make sure to add this restaurant to your must-visit list. Dining in for dinner, expect to spend $20-30 per person. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Garlic Naan!
I have tried Indian food in 38 countries, including the UK where it is popular, and I have to say that this was the best Indian food I have ever had. MOD India is truly a hidden gem in the area. We enjoyed the Tandoori platter, Lamb Biryani, chicken tikka, lasooni jingha, and bread basket, all of which were delicious and freshly made. Thank you, MOD India, for a wonderful dining experience.
You will need to double-check your bill at this restaurant. At the end, a $15.00 drink was added to our bill, even though we did not order it. After we pointed this out, it was removed. However, the fact that we were overcharged in the first place is unacceptable. The food was generally good, but the red sauce seemed to be artificially colored.
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We mentioned a different kind of rice that we had tried at another Indian restaurant, which wasn't on the menu here, and they went above and beyond to make it for us.
