We actually spent several months in the eagle that saved us when other Sabbatical apartment plans failed. Bettina and Matthias (new owners in the last few years, I think) offer friendly hospitality, seasoned with a very artistic eye. The Inn is over 200 years old, with comfortable rooms (no two quite similar), but with solid amenities. The ONLY complaint is that the restaurant is only open for dinner, and then six nights a week (closed Wednesdays). The cook does a great job and offers a small but solid German regular menu, along with a seasonal set of specials that seem to change about once a month. These are always great and usually quite creative. Prices are reasonable and the service is a...
