Rude service, was forced to sit down and wait for service when we knew what we wanted and went to the till, was left for ten mins when previously saying we know what we want, then preceded to tell us we couldn’t have extras. (Wanted a few extra Oreo’s in the milkshake for flavour) was very condescending saying I “don’t need any more” then when we got them they tasted like milk, complained and the workers were very argumentative. Only came in for drinks so wouldn’t want to know how much of a hassle it would be for food. Disappointed.
I recently visited Moka on Fishergate and had the Soup Combo. The ingredients were fresh and the food was homemade, served with a warm welcome. The broccoli soup was delicious and the tuna salad sandwich was packed with tuna between thick slices of wholemeal bread. As someone who enjoys cooking, I appreciate good homemade food and Moka definitely delivers on that front. The overall experience was fantastic, with really nice fresh food. I highly recommend Moka for anyone looking for a great dining experience with homemade dishes.
This restaurant used to be fantastic when Ian and Sam were running it, and when Steve and Andrew were managing it. It was always clean with excellent food and service. However, it now needs a thorough cleaning, some updates, and a change in staff. The food quality has declined, portion sizes are smaller, and prices have increased. Please take action to restore this cafe to its former greatness.
Went in on Saturday was charged £1.80 as I work in town for a latte to takeaway. Went in on Sunday and was charged £4.20 when I asked about a discount for working in town the staff member replied we do not do one. Obvious lies, me and my colleagues won’t be returning. Was a lady wearing glasses I think quite small.

I ordered two cappuccinos, but on both recent visits, one of the cups was only half full. This time, the drink was also cold. It was very disappointing and it seems we will go back to Costa, even though it is more expensive. As pensioners, it is the only treat we get.
Stopped here for breakfast on Saturday morning. The staff was very helpful and the establishment was very clean. We both had a short wait before our hot breakfast is came out. They were very good and I would definitely recommend.
2 tapas and one side could not stop it portion sizes more than plentiful, decent bottle house sauvignon blanc, 30% off food bill as eating before 7 pm, absolute bargain and eating was great! will definitely go back
Best Bottomless bruch anywhere food is amazing and any drink except champagne just BRILLIANT Great service and £35 for 2 hour best I've been to and I've been to a few

Nice clean and tidy interior. Warm friendly welcome from staff. Varied menu with ample choices. Great food served and presented well.
