Mommona Afrikanisches

Went here with a friend on a quiet & cold Monday evening. Staff was super friendly - they looked after us perfectly. The food (African) was very tasty (my friend had the "carnivore tasting platter" and I the veggie variation) and the "Voodoo"-Beer as well as the Southafrican wines (my friend tried the white wine and I had the red) was very good, too. I hope they soon establish themselves as the number one African restaurant in Frankfurt. They do deserve it. Located in the old part of Sachsenhausen, which sees some interesting new developments in recent years. Well worth a visit!

We had a great dinner at Mommona on a saturday evening. The food was fresh, delicious and there were lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The staff was very attentive and they even served us a side dish for free and a "pfeffi" after our meal. We really enjoyed the interior as well with their interesting wooden carvings, the fire place and traditional crafts. I highly recommend Mommona!

Secret tip! It happened, tried and it was just great. Super delicious Eritrean food that you traditionally eat with your hands. There was also a lot to do for vegetarians or vegans, and the fruity Dju Dju beer must be tried. After that we were really happy. The service was super nice and accommodating. Can I recommend to everyone!

Such a delicious food I have rarely eaten, the cherry on the cream was the excellent and creepy nice waiter. We felt very comfortable and like to come back. The prices are quite reasonable. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and thank the owner for the attentive and hospitable service!
