The Hibachi dishes are exceptionally flavorful, and the salad dressing is, quite frankly, some of the best ginger dressing I've ever had. With sushi entrees and a variety of authentic Japanese dishes like curry and takoyaki, this place is truly a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach. The owner, who is classically trained, has a genuine love for his community and presents a menu that showcases the flavors of his native Japan in a fast and friendly manner. Hangover Haven.... This spot is perfect for the most vicious of all vicious hangovers. Located two miles from my Mom's house at Prestwick, it is super fabulous! The service is fast friendly, with perfect servings. They never seem to mind when asked for at least five extra containers of mayo sauce. Hibachi Shrimp is the BEST.
Counter person was very friendly. Cost of food has almost doubled in price for same size portion. Food was good. Dining areas fairly clean, men's bathroom clean. They had two air purification units installed in dining area.
Best place to eat by far! Excellent food! They give generous amounts! My only problem is the staff.. They are not friendly and like you in and out of the door.. However the food makes up for it!! Love it!

The food was so delicious that my son wanted to return the very next day! They have a sushi combo that's perfect for him, including salmon roll, chicken teriyaki, fried rice, and seaweed.
Mon Cafe Japan Surfside is our top choice for dining during our vacation. We typically dine there twice during a long weekend. I only wish we could be there right now!
One of two places I go for Hibachi. If you're on the south end, go to Mon Cafe. If you're further up in Myrtle Beach, go to Mulan.
I always order the shrimp bowl along with a side of vegetables. The shrimp is flawless—large and cooked to perfection.
