Not very impressed today, our first time to eat here! 4.5 stars with 960 reviews on Yelp seemed really good, so we decided to try it. Restaurant is nice, very cool ambience, beautiful decorations, well organized. They offer seating and seating. Clean restaurant. They have beers to choose, as well as some delicious dessert options (good? they saw delicious lol, they did not get to try. The reason I give them only a 3-star rating is because of the waiting period. We sat on a half-sweet table, was not completely dry when they brought us there. Then we waited almost 45 minutes before the first plate was brought to our table, and about 3 minutes between plates. There were only 5 of us. No big party. Before we left, 2 different waiters came to our table to apologize for the slow service. They said it was because they were among servants, the other said it was because the rush surprised them!! So I suppose it was probably a combination of both! The food was very good. I would not really consider this restaurant as the best Vietnamese restaurant in Orange County right now, maybe back in 2020 when it was nominated, but not now. But yes, the food was good, very good amount for the price tag. My Oxtail Fried Rice was $18.95 My wide Vermicelli Chicken Bowl was $17.95 I don't know if I come back. Who knows?
Fantastic green tea Thai ice tea will make sleeping at night a little difficult with all the caffeine. Lychee drink is just as addictive. The shaken beef is incredibly tender and flavorful. French fries are a bit thick and very copious with parmesan cheese and parsley topping. Opt for the phenomenal pho instead and other side dishes, rather than filling up on the fries. This restaurant is unforgettably good! The refrigerated display unit includes canned French pate for sale and nice desserts. Intimate interior, beautiful outdoor seating makes this restaurant feel like a fancier lunch or dinner place to want to keep coming back to.
I just got into town and we decided to stop for a few Pho. The portions are great and the food was delicious. The only thing I don't like is that you pay first before you get your food so you don't know how big the service will be. That makes it hard to choose a tip. Not every carries cash so I went and got some macrons so I can tap them more. Although I would not recommend the macrons. Tiramisu was delicious.
Great place! Family owned. The passion and care of the owners is very real. Definitely the most unique Vietnamese food I had. Came for lunch. Had the vegan spring rolls, vegan curry, and hubby had the shaken beef. The place is super clean, very nice, and you can feel the positive energy. We were greeted with many smiles and had a wonderful lunch! Next time the cocktails will taste!
