Monarch - Réservation de table

This one’s a bit tricky. Their version of eggs Benedict uses crab cakes instead of English muffins, which had the potential to be amazing, but unfortunately, they were so salty that I ended up burning my mouth. The eggs were overcooked, and the asparagus was undercooked, which didn’t do the dish any favors either. However, the intention behind the dish is clear, and it was beautifully prepared and presented. I might consider giving them another chance. The service was typically good. One more thing: there’s a photo that suggests the terrace has a stunning view, but it actually overlooks a busy street at ground level.

In my opinion, Hotel ZaZa offers the best food of any hotel in Houston. I had my wedding here and have returned for several staycations, and the food consistently impresses. I highly recommend the savory cheeseburger, the crispy chicken breast served on whipped potatoes, and the Wagyu chicken fried steak Po'Boy with garlic fries and a side of goat cheese ranch. You won't regret choosing any of these dishes. The food is always delicious and impeccably clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Each visit has been a top-tier experience.

I had higher expectations. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and I had previously dined here for a business lunch, believing it would be perfect for such a special occasion. While the atmosphere was lovely (we were the only guests in the dining room at the time), the food did not meet our standards. It felt like we received leftovers from the brunch service, which was quite disappointing.

Lovely edifice and a fantastic experience. Great food with pleasant service. Simple foods with a very classy style. I expected far higher prices based on the area and the atmosphere but prices were extremely reasonable per the portions. For a lovely date or a quiet cozy meeting, this is a place to consider. Only had drinks. But, if not for the price, would have had more. Add into the fact it was way too loud when you're having drinks and chatting. Had to leave just due to loud music and crowd. Service was excellent though.

Love the patio, great ambiance. Waiter was very friendly and professional. Good food, I had ZaZa Benny and friend had Power bowl. But my food made me ill, I don't think it was hot enough.

The food tasted like banquet food with over priced lower end bottles of wine however service was excellent.
