Ventured into this restaurant cafe, Bar whilst walking through the narrow streets around Sitges. The place was busy very vibrant, good atmosphere lots of tables inside and out. The food wasn't the best, small portions, quality wasn't great neither, nor cooked fresh that's for sure most likely frozen or prepackaged and microwaved. The cakes and desserts were decent enough. They seemed to be freshly made on site. The staff are sluggish, find it difficult to multitask, and work as a team, we waited ages between ordering and getting our bill. We were even overcharged for drinks we never drank. The prices here are quite steep, and a tiny hamburger with a handful of fries is €9.90, a pint of beer €6.10, a chicken sandwich €7.50, small bottle of still water sets you back €2.40, desserts set you back £5.80. In conclusion, we probably wouldn't return as many other establishments around, but in fairness, the food was edible, and the atmosphere was ok.
This is a reasonably priced restaurant central to main sitges square and close to the beach. The waiting staff were pleasant enough (not exceptional by any standard) and the food a decent quality for the price. I got the hummous and flatbread starter which wasn't great the three humous all taste identical and were totally bland (I literally think it was the same humous with food colouring in two of them). However, the caeser salad was delicious and would recommend it if you choose to eat there. You can sit outside on the main thoroughfare but we chose to eat inside where it was quieter. Reasonable price for nice enough food.
Food mediocre, but not worse than many places in Sitges. But stands out for terrible service. Long wait to order (1/2 hour), long wait for food (45 minutes), then half the order missing including coffee (so we had no beverages). Never came until we went up to the desk which is royal mess of disorganized used plates, unsettled order slips and piles of money. Long wait for check and then no change arrived until again went to desk to point it out amongst the 2 dozen little plates w checks and cash. The space is nice so it’s a shame that management and servers have given up.
This place is very much a hit and miss regarding the levels of service. I have been going there for years and the service has mostly been poor. I go because friends in my group like it. This year was the worst ever making people queue to get in despite it being half empty and service still slow. The food is average. We tried a bar on the beach opposite Platjador hotel which was far better service plus sea view and prices the same as Montroig. I don’t like giving negative reviews but it has gone downhill this year.
