This restaurant is a delightful hidden gem located just a short distance from Southbank. The prices for the food are quite reasonable, and everything is fresh. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service with lovely smiles. I tried the Schnitzel special on a Tuesday night, and it was fantastic—generous portions and freshly cooked. However, there was quite a wait from the time we placed our order until our food arrived, which meant we had to eat quickly to make it to a show at QPAC. The food was really good, and I would definitely dine here again but would plan to arrive a bit earlier to avoid the rush. Highly recommended!
This is exactly the type of restaurant I enjoy visiting and spending my money at. The staff (a man and a woman) are incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food is delicious, well-prepared, and free from pretentious garnishes, which is a rarity in Southbank. I appreciate that—it feels like someone who cares about you cooked your breakfast. It was a wonderful way to start our day and a very positive experience overall!
Had dinner at Montague Restaurant. We had the seafood basket with salad and chips. The meal was enjoyable enough however you could tell it was all out of the frozen packet. Also ordered a scotch and soda. The soda came out of a Black and gold soda bottle. This bottle had been obviously opened for some time and it was dead flat and my husband was charged $8 for the privilege. NOT HAPPY wouldn't recommend to anyone
Undercooked raw eggs, toast so lightly cooked it was still bread, and everything was cold. Was keen to eat here because of photos of the food online, but the half dozen uncleared messy tables from the morning should have been a red flag from the get go. Service was fine but would not recommend if you actually want an edible breakfast.

Waiter was friendly, energetic and helpful. I really enjoyed the service. We had al a crate breakfast and in my opinion the prices are high for the quality and effort put into the meal.
Went here for the $10 Lunch deal. Decent value and quality items on offer. Staff were really friendly and the inside dining chairs were surprisingly comfortable. Would recommend.
Steak warm and veggies cold in some parts and luke warm in others the mushroom gravy luke warm and mashed potato cold. But mushroom rissoto excellent. Worth a 3 star.
I encountered a waitress with a lovely smile and a charming English accent. Seeing her added an extra touch to the delicious breakfast.
