Monte De Rey Mexican

Love the bright, colorful furniture, ambience. We came after most guests of dinner were served, sitting outside when dawn turned into dawn, then into what we used to call dark. We sat there without hesitation and the waitress was accordingly attentive, personal. The food was good, satisfying. Not gourmet, but matched our taste. The crowd seemed to be locals who visited the place. There was a good birthday party that celebrated a grandmother, with mother, grandchildren, others in participation. Didn't blew what we could say. We'll go back there after we're on the road in Tanglewood. Only the colors offer uplift! Worth the trip, guys.

Had a really nice dinner beef Chimichanga and Burrito California. Very delicious and generous portions. Friendly service. The sweet cinnamon chips with whipped cream and strawberry syrup were a nice surprise after dinner. Will return.

Restaurant is in the best location with easy access from East and West I-40 and US 158 in Tanglewood Commons Shopping Center of Harper Road. Get your food order as takeout, eat in the dining room or eat at the picnic tables outside.

It's our favorite Mexican restaurant! The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to some bad experiences. Other than that, we love it!
