Yeah I forget why I wanted to come here again. I think it was because I could get 241 from the entertainment book. #tight First of all, we were seated at a wet table. Yeah great Ill just put my phone and wallet on this. I asked the waitress how to pronounce an item on the menu in Mexican. I was prompty met with a "dunno" and a shrug. Professional. Meals came out and this waiter slapped down the cutlery, still spinning as he left. Nice one mate. The food was dead fam. Beef "burrito" was shredded beef and 2 types of cheese. topped with cheese. My arteries are now clogged. Fantastico! The enchilada was the same. Just chicken and cheese but the chicken was unseasoned and bland. Just go...

Staff were good but tried to talk up and make excuses for the bad food. I'm from the Gold Coast were Monties originated from at Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast and have been eating there and some of it's break off restaurants for over 20 years years. The meal (my favourite one) I ordered at Glenelg was so bad I couldn't finish it. It's such a shame that the owners of this restaurant are such tight ass's they don't follow the recipes and portion size to Montezuma's reputation and bring shame on it. I definitely won't ever be back. I look forward to visiting Qld next for a meal there.
I love Montezuma's and love going back to Glenelg when I'm in Adelaide as I've been coming here since it first opened. I love that nothing has changed and the food was great. It feels like coming home eating here. Although have to say I had problems with our order and then getting it right but they made it up with a discount so can't complain as once it came out it was AWSOME. We had combination dinners with taco, enchiladas, rice and chile con carne I even had desert, choc mouse Highly recommend and can say I'll be back next trip to adelaide Réservez une table maintenant
Not impressed, hard to make a booking,(unable to return my phone message). Friendly staff on arrival but not engaging. We had to ask for our table to be wiped over(sticky mess), No drink service to table, (unexplained until we asked 15 minutes after arriving), burritos flat and almost empty, nachos very poor presentation. It's hard to believe it was so busy, obviously some people dont get out very often! There are other more worthy restaurants in the area that are more deserving of the shrinking consumer dollar.
California combination was delicious, though more salad rather than rice would have been great. Main meal size was generous. Kids nachos were a good size but kids El Toro would only feed the very little kids with two tiny tortillas. Service was speedy and friendly. Can be a bit pricey but takes Entertainment Book. Overall a really lovely meal.
My picture shows how much I ate from my meal. The most disgusting food ever. And to top it off, the bloke at the front tells me about Mexican rice and how its supposed to look like! Sorry dude, I know what Mexican rice is añd i know how it tastes when stale. I hope the health inspector closes this **** hole down someday!
