It seems that the positive reviews come from people who have never experienced true barbecue in Texas or Kansas City. Unfortunately, the brisket I had was among the worst I've ever tasted. I can't help but wonder if my experience would have been better if the person who took my order had more charisma than a robot. When I requested a sausage link—standard at most barbecue joints—he looked utterly confused and went to fetch someone else instead of simply explaining that it’s served sliced. The fries were nice and crispy, but they lacked flavor. The sauces were thin and featured two varieties from the Carolinas. I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was greeted with friendly service at the counter. There was a great selection of combinations that included various entrees and sides. At our table, we enjoyed brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and complimentary onions and pickles. The meat was flavorful and wonderfully moist. We had several bottles of BBQ sauce on the table, and I found the Carolina sauce to be particularly appealing. The cornbread with honey butter was incredibly satisfying. Having tried BBQ in Texas, I can confidently say that this spot in NJ comes closest to that experience so far. I rate it 9.7/10.
Excellent barbecue at this place. Great choice of sauces depending on what you like. Good service the times we were there. It?s a little pricey but in line with what you?d expect to pay in a restaurant. Pork sandwich and ribs are both huge and great quality. Overall, this is a great place for a family dinner out because you get your food pretty quickly (they bring it to you after you order at the counter) and won?t be waiting through the typical restaurant scenario.
Not that good, really disappointed! The brisket had no flavour, had triple hot dog, pulled pork again no flavor, the coleslaw also no flavor! The wings were fairly good, had more smoke flavor but we're dry! A bit pricey for what you get, no selection of sauces. The restraunt didn't even smell like smoke! Will not go again! Ordered brisket sandwich $14) and it was DELICIOUS!! INCLUDED sliced pickles and slaw which I had on the side. Instead of adding the sauce to my sandwich I dipped the meat in it. All of them were good. My favorite was the Kansas city sauce I will definitely be back. Really want to try the collards with garlic and bacon and the hushpuppies. Great food. Fast service.
I ordered the burger special, and after taking a bite and cutting into it, I realized that the burger was very undercooked. I usually stick with the brisket, but I thought I’d try something different this time, and unfortunately, this was my experience. It was not great at all. I would advise against ordering any burger from this place.
More than Q is delicious! We ordered for lunch for a party of 40 people at our home. Matt the owner was easy to communicate with via email and the delivery was on time and the food was a hit! It gets a little pricey, but it's worth it. Their pulled chicken and kale/brussel sprout salad were our favorites.
