eating was pretty good. the only reason why I was not placed in a 5-star rating was the service. we had some minor problems that were distracted from the experience. we had two different people who tell us that our server would be over, then she came over a few minutes later and said that she would be just a few minutes. our drink order was finally made by the manager ca. 10-15 minutes after sitting. Despite the question whether I wanted an appetizer before the rest of the food, it came with the rest of the meal. it took a while until she came back and looked at us. she has identified the animals we had wrongly, and she only knew them by the code they used. all these were low, but my assessment fell. none of these would prevent me from coming back or recommending the place. I should also note that in the late afternoon/before morning we came to dinner. there could be shift changes, etc.
Everything was outstanding as it always seem to be. The food was great , delicious. We had the Salmon with pineapple salsa over forbidden rice. I am not a huge Salmon fan but this was high quality and perfectly prepared. The forbidden rice is amazing, filled with so much flavor. The Lobster Gnocchi was equally superb. The grilled peaches in the dish are wonderful. The service was outstanding, very friendly and professional. The entire staff was attentive, helpful friendly. Patrick Craig the bar are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, attentive and make great cocktails to compliment their beer smarts professionalism. Chef Ashley's menu is creative while keeping it simple.
