I really like this place because the food is reliably delicious, but the environment is very, very difficult to interact in. It's so loud you can barely hear the person next to you. If you don't mind yelling and repeating a lot then visit during the busier times. If you want to have real naturally flowing conversations I suggest going during less busy times. Lunch is usually a bit more quiet. Dinner I've found to be loud. The wait service was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Just fine... which is fine. I don't have expectations other than that honestly. They are always nice and never dominating the scene which is good.
After an afternoon at the farmers market we got hungry and instead of one of the many food vendors we opted for Shiku sushi. We ordered several rolls and apperizers off the happy hour menu. The fish tasted fresh, which, unfortunately, is not something that you can say at very many places these days. Also remarkable is the fresh grated wasabi I cannot think of anyone else in Seattle who does this, not even I Love Sushi. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Ballard.
Came to celebrate my son's 20th. Great food, great service. Wasn't a big fan of the spicy karage (Korean Kalbi style, wet) I was hoping for traditional deep fried karage with a powdery spicy coating or rub. Rolls were great tight and held together for dipping. Good balance of protein to sushi rice. Excellent.
Yummy food-had the king salmon sashimi and a few different rolls. Tried the specialty cocktail which was tasty and liked that it benefited the Maui wildfire relief. Would definitely go back!

Fantastic sashimi and nigiri presentation. Some of the best we've ever had. Very creative roll to finish off the night. Plus top notch sake! New favorite spot when in Ballard.
Half of us received our food quickly, the other half waited at least 15 additional minutes. Would've preferred the extra wait and had all of us served at the same time.
100/10! Everything was perfect! My date and I loved the atmosphere and food. The servers were pretty fxcking dope! Definitely would come back.
Very thankful to have such a high quality sushi restaurant nearby. Love everything I've had so far, looking forward to the next visit!
