After a long day of hauling boxes, and carry heavy furniture up staircases that weren't designed for it, I successfully helped my mate move in to his new flat and we both agreed several ice cold beers were in order. We retired to the sports bar of the Mosman Club after our normal local hunt, the Mosman Hotel we discovered was fully booked. Sports Bar is pretty standard for a sports bar, and whilst not quite Cheers Bar or The Star sports bar level, however, has a GIANT screen smack bang in the middle of it. Beers are standard Carlton United fare, but pints of Ice cold Pines Pale were well received. Food wise, Chicken Parma is well on point. My mate and I were starving to put it mildly, but it's a good size chicken schnitty, well crumbled and a good tomato sauce and well melted cheese. On point, and they were vacuumed up quickly. Chips were good too and was just a solid good Parma. The missus enjoyed her Parma, and her request for the pesto aioli to be provided on the side was granted so she was well chuffed. A very solid sports bar, with enough food and beverage options to keep one entertained for a game or catch up with a mate. Staff are friendly and if I lived locally, would be a regular haunt. Worth going back too.
