Motor City Brewing Works

Motor City Brewing Works is a stop on the Metro Detroit Brewery Discovery Tour, and it is celebrating its 30th year in operation. The entrance from Canfield may be easy to miss, but once you find it, you will be greeted by a friendly and inviting atmosphere with a neighborhood pub feel. The beer selection is limited to 9 brews on tap, but it offers a variety ranging from Czech Pilsner to Belgian Tripel. The pizza menu is mouth-watering, with unique toppings like roasted pears and fresh figs. In addition to pizza, there are sandwiches, salads, and appetizers on the menu, all reasonably priced. should’ve given this place a review long ago. been coming here for years and always consistent- super friendly staff too, so much so that last week i got a carry out order and pizza was missing 1 topping, still smashed it. only to find a voicemail later on that day from Ethan calling to apologize and offer me a free pizza anytime to make up for it, took em up on the offer later that week and sure enough, free pizza with all the fixings! class act customer service you just don’t see anywhere else nowadays. can’t recommend enough!

Awesome brewery and even better staff! I was in town for a baseball game and stopped in for a beer. They didn’t have any t-shirts in stock and don’t sell online. Tara took my order and promised to ship when it came in. It did come in and they even called to make sure of my order before shipping. Got my t-shirt and a few stickers to boot. I will be back in the future and recommend to anyone stopping in downtown Detroit for great beer and food. And say hi to Tara while there. Thanks again Motor City Brewing!

This place is amazing! Our server Erin was fantastic. The food was delicious. We tried the Crab dip, which was fantastic, as well as the Franks Buffalo sub and Detroit Italian sub. The Belgian Tripel was also tasty. I highly recommend giving this place a try, it is definitely worth it. Réservez une table maintenant

I don’t ever not finish a beer, but the pale ale, I just couldn’t. Plus, my pizza was burnt, other patrons’ looked ok though. All ingredients there for a good spot but it wasn’t.

My friends and I enjoyed a tasty pear pizza and one that had sausage on it, a fresh salad and, of course, beer. Great location. Nice outdoor seating

We have been coming here for years. Love the pizza, it's the best anywhere. Wish they made a bigger size but I love the place.
