The staff up front was very friendly and efficient. The server seemed like she did not want to be there. She took care of us ok but was not friendly and never smiled once. It seemed like she was going through the motions and did not want to be there. The appetizer we got was good and had great flavor. The French toast, eggs, and bacon were good. The honey chicken thighs were very dry and not much flavor. The Brussell sprouts had no flavor at all and were barely cooked. My daugheter lives in Columbia and we were looking forward to eating here, but it was not up to par with what we were expecting unfortunately.
I was disappointed. Service was lacking (staffing), tho’ server had great personality. Little things that added up (no spoon for crème brûlée other minor issues that just added up). Food not the same quality it had been on previous visits (special was a ribeye, okay at best the desert cakes were simply dry). Bathroom trash bin was full when they opened at 5:00 PM never emptied. Just very disappointing for a restaurant of this cost. Ambiance is fantastic, noise level was really low considering it was busy. Hope they can get it together but for the ’s I’ll go elsewhere in the future.
It was a good experience including ambience and the waitress except I didn’t get enough to eat. I ordered the trout. It was beautifully prepared, but there was a VERY small serving of the vegetables that came with it. The sauce for the fish was artfully smeared over half of the plate but using a very small amount, and the braised vegetables were tucked under the thin filet of trout—and not much of them. I don’t have a trencherman’s appetite, but even for me it was not enough food.
The variety of food options on Easter Sunday was lacking. It was a letdown. We were hoping for a more special menu, but instead it was the same as any other Sunday. It's no surprise there were plenty of open reservations. We won't be returning.

We ate before an evening event at the Colonial Life Arena. Great location to the event and our hotel. Food was awesome and it was nice to have an option that was not a burger.
This place is incredible! This was my second visit to Motor Supply and I highly recommend it. I already have a reservation for next month and I am looking forward to it!
Motor Supply is consistently the best restaurant in Columbia. The menu changes daily and they use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The best!
The bartender was rude and unfriendly while we waited for our table, which put a damper on our experience. The food, however, was delicious.
