We booked this hotel because our normal choices in Coquelles were full. It was about 40 mins from the tunnel but looked nice so we took the chance. What we found was a hidden gem. At the price we paid we would have struggled to get a Kyriad or Ibis and this is so much more. The location us quiet and on its own, great parking and Wi-Fi and the owner and his wife are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good quality and plenty of it. The only down side for me us the restaurant serves top class food and I am much more meat and two veg. However if you like your food to be an experience you would be more than happy. C'est un bel endroit, idéal pour une étape. Oui, comme mentionné précédemment, les chambres d'hôtel sont modernes, mais elles sont chaleureuses et d'une propreté impeccable, la nôtre offrait une vue magnifique sur la rivière et la roue à aubes. Nous avons passé la nuit de Noël et avons dîné au restaurant... Une cuisine française traditionnelle, beaucoup de locaux appréciant l'ambiance. Le service était fabuleux, les 3 serveurs/serveuses portaient les assiettes et les plateaux de boissons sur l'escalier en bois courbé avec aisance. Le petit-déjeuner était plus que suffisant, avec un bon choix et en abondance. Nous reviendrons certainement dans ce bel hôtel.
The hotel is in a lovely rural location by the river, as its a converted mill. Room clean but basic. We booked this hotel as we were on our way back to UK and it is close to Calais and the restaurant had good reviews. Sadly I was very disappointed with the restaurant. It is in a separate building to the hotel,no atmosphere, no music, service slow and food very disappointing for me.Overall we found it extremely expensive, particularly the wine which in in the region of 50 euros a bottle and not that good.What we though would be a reasonably priced stop ended up very expensive.Breakfast was fine.
Si vous décidez de passer la journée en France et souhaitez goûter à une superbe cuisine française, ne cherchez pas plus loin. A seulement 25 minutes en voiture du tunnel sous la Manche, ce restaurant ne vous décevra pas ! Personnel très sympathique qui parle un anglais excellent, donc pas de soucis et une cuisine délicieuse. Il existe des menus à prix fixe pour des repas à trois, quatre, cinq et sept plats (vous choisissez vos plats dans le menu principal). Une soirée fantastique! Réservez une table maintenant
Great meal - it was Fathers Day, so there was a "no choice" three-course menu for thiry-some Euros. The waitress asked if we were OK with that and it was clear that substitutions would have been available if we'd had a problem, but we were happy and everything was creatively prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. We'd been travelling in Germany with a couple of nights in France for the previous three weeks and this was far and away the best meal of our trip
Each and every dish was a delight upon the tongue, complimented by a very pleasing selection of wines. The list to which Monsieur Delbergue is delighted to discuss with you. It is not fast food, it is not designed to be. The restaurant has pride in its creations and the staff are exceptional. The 'Family' are very polite, helpful and constantly happy.A good selection of breakfast foods are to be had each morning, along with a good Lunch.
Nous nous sommes sentis un peu trompés à notre arrivée, car la plupart des photos présentées sur le site web montraient le bâtiment plein de caractère dans lequel se trouve le restaurant. En comparaison, les chambres d'hôtel se trouvent dans un bâtiment plus moderne et sont plutôt bijou. Bien confortables, nous n'avons pas eu l'impression qu'elles étaient un bon rapport qualité-prix et correspondaient aux normes du restaurant voisin.
Nous avons séjourné ici pour une nuit avant notre retour à Calais et ensuite à Londres. Notre chambre était spacieuse et propre et donnait directement sur le ruisseau rempli de canards et d'oies. Un buffet petit-déjeuner a été livré, ce qui était plus que suffisant pour nos besoins. Nous avons dîné dans le restaurant adjacent, qui était situé dans un ancien moulin et était également bon. The restaurant is situated on the first floor of the mill and the weather did not permit us to eat outside ( nice terrace ). The menu card is not extensive but the menu of € 32 was a great pleasure and the service was excellent. Downstairs is a nice "pub" where you can have drinks before dinner. A good restaurant.
