Beware the walnuts! I'm pretty sure they gave me food poisoning/e coli. I love local grocery stores with local and organic products, so visited this cute store while travelling with my family. Every other thing I've eaten in the last week was shared with at least one family member (down to individual bananas). The *only* thing that only I ate was a pack of Mountain Mama's OG Roasted Maple Cinnamon Walnuts, and I have been suffering horrible gastrointestinal pain for the past 15 hours. I do not have a delicate stomach I can't remember the last time I've had even a stomach ache so this is very unusual for me. I did call the store, and I hope I am wrong, but the woman I spoke with did not seem...
This is a small and wonderful little health food store. The prices are pretty bad, even for a health food store, so if you can find what you need somewhere else, go somewhere else. But the beauty of Mountain Mama is that they carry a lot of products that are difficult to find elsewhere, especially for those with sensitivities to gluten, dairy, etc. The staff are very nice and chill, and they've got some great in-house baked products.
This has been one of my absolute favorite places. Even since I was a little girl. The organic herbs that they provide I use for teas for my shamanism business. And they always have yummy wonderful options as well. Make sure to check out their deli where they cook the most amazing food and have the best soups I've ever had.
