Seated near a door very cold draft. The head waitress needed a course in customer relations very blunt. The dress code of all the staff was very unsuitable and appeared not clean. The food was cooked average but very small amounts for the cost on that visit. I visited again on my own during the day the following week early afternoon. The seafood chowder was good. Waited a long time for the trout dish that lacked everything as the limited veg was not cooked and soaked in oil with on halved potato!! Again the head waitress was not helpful at all! I overheard the customer next to me complain to the other waitress who never engaged with the customer and again very bad casual code by all the staf...
I was recommended this restaurant by a few friends who had visited Belfast before, and I can see why! The service was excellent - they were accommodating when we arrived 30 minutes early and gave helpful advice on menu choices, including how labor-intensive certain dishes were. I ordered prawns followed by mussels, and my friend had whipped goats cheese followed by scallop pasta. The food was exceptional in quality, with generous portions. We were impressed by the variety of menu items. The restaurant itself is cozy, with a lovely atmosphere, and the prices were very reasonable for the high quality of food we enjoyed. Overall, it was outstanding!
My wife and I came here looking for a tasty, but not too filling, lunch. We certainly succeeded!! We both had the seafood chowder which had lots of delicious fish in a rich, creamy sauce with herbs and some neat wee croutons on top. this was served with some excellent wheaten bread. Our server offered some Tabasco sauce so I added a couple of drops which gave it an extra flavour dimension. This was the best seafood chowder I've had in a long time. We were here on a busy Tues evening. The service was attentive, friendly and really efficient. The food was really good. Loved the mussels in fennel and cream and the sea bass was very good. Good use of herbs and flavours to complement the fish and shellfish. Do have a cocktail they were also very good. Highly recommend. Réservez une table maintenant
We had a delicious meal here. Prawns and Crevettes for starters and mussels and seafood chowder for mains. All cooked to perfection accompanied by a lovely bottle of white and harp lager. Lovely friendly staff with a warmth and humour. Great atmosphere and will return next time in Belfast.
