Mr Chen's Auth Cooking

This is by far my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant in the T-town/Northport area. If you want true, authentic Chinese dishes with tons of flavor, you found it here. My husband and I have tried a few different dishes here: Duck noodle soup, dumplings, steamed buns(sort of like soup dumplings. VERY juicy), mei fun, Mongolian chicken, etc. But the one thing we get EVERY time is salted crispy chicken w/ steamed rice and a side of dumpling sauce for dipping. It's so crispy,

We visit Mr Chen's often. It is the best oriental food in Tuscaloosa. We have found many items on the menu that we like but shrimp and pineapple is our favorite. I'm not sure how they keep the pineapple from being oily or soggy but they do. It is large chunks of fried pineapple that are crispy and delicious. All of the waiters are very kind and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very nice.

I don?t even know where to start? This place is freaking fantastic! The exterior is a bit unassuming, because it?s inside an Asian market, inside a strip center. However, the restaurant itself was super nice, clean, and well laid out. The food was crazy freaking delicious, and our server was a rockstar! We will 100% be back again.

I ordered the Combination Fried rice (beef, chicken, and shrimp) the beef was bland, but the shrimp and chicken were delicious. The portion was also very large. My egg drop soup was pretty average, but the service was quick and efficient. I?ll definitely be going back to try more of their menu.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! The restaurant half never disappoints and the grocery side is filled with so many exotic goodies that your mind will implode. It's truly an amazing little spot and worth every penny.
