"The food is okay but my waitress tonight paid us zero attention. Didn?t get offered a second cup of water and had us waiting for our check for a while. It wasn?t busy so I don?t know what the hold up was. Probably won?t be back for a while."

This place is absolutely wonderful. We are going to a concert in Hartford this evening and looked for a close restaurant to eat at before going. We lucked out quite a bit having chosen this place. I got crabcakes for an appetizer and they were delicious.Fresh, flavorful and perfectly crispy around the outside. I did not even use any tartar sauce, only a squeeze of lemon. Myhusband had calamari and I tasted some. I?ll say the same for that. Fresh, tasty, perfectly breaded and delicious. For the maincourse, I got beer battered fish and shrimp. An absolutely wonderful dish as well. Very flavorful, cooked to perfection, not toogreasy at all. My husband got the Fishermans platter, several smaller question the fish kernel calamari, oysters and clams, allbreaded and lightly fried. He said it was fantastic. Both dinner dishes came with Cajun fries, they were also very good. Theseasoning on the fries was quite tasty and they were perfectly crispy. The atmosphere is nice, the people are friendly and wewill definitely go here again if we find ourselves back this way.

I usually order from Shakin' Crab when I lived in Boston but since the nearest one from me is about an hour away I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the plate for 2 I believe it's called. I wanted the flavor to be cajun and for it to be thespiciest flavor that they have because I am a big fan of pepper. I was disappointed with what I spent 48 dollars on. Thecombination of clams, claws and shrimp were salty and no where near spicy. I tried putting hot pepper sauce but even thatcouldn't help make it better. I also ordered a side of garlic noodles, they just looked liked boiled pasta. The flavor was notthere. I think next time I'll drive an hour away because this was a failed attempt at coming close to what I usually order. Theonly things that were good were the potatoes and corn. I am highly disappointed because I spend $56.97 for all that to go downthe drain.

I've been here twice. Once for a catered birthday party. Food, service, and drinks were great. The second time was for Mother's Day. Could we get lucky twice? Yes, we can and we did. I ended up ordering a shrimp boil. Not only was it deliciousbut I took it for lunch the next 2 days. The staff? Awesome!
