Mt Brenton Lounge Cafe

This restaurant has just added daily specials and tonights was the fish and chips, one piece of superbly battered cod and a pile of french fries for $12.99, you could upgrade, which I did to two pieces for an extra $6.00. The only catch! was that you had to buy a beveridge and there are loads of great beer on tap, so that wasn't a problem. Julie also provided gratis a small dessert which again was excellent. With the wonderful views over the Mount Brenton Golf Course its well worth the trip from Ladysmith, will have to try the riubs which I understand is the Monday special.

Recently (July 2021) we were able to reserve and hold a private family event at the Canteen on the Green outside on the patio Julie and her staff prepared and served an outstanding buffet dinner for us. The meal was excellent as was the service. We returned for casual meals later in the week. High quality delicious meals. Highly highly recommend for a casual meal or for an event.

Had the Friday daily special of Fish and Chips. Huge single piece of beer battered Cod and a large portion of fries all for $12, accompanied by a pint of Hoyne's Dark Matter. Excellent! The views of this golf oasis are outstanding and you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy it. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Much better than group lunches I have had elsewhere.. Turkey and vegetables cooked perfectly, stuffing w/herbs, tart homemade cranberry sauce, homemade salad dressing. I don't like gravy so was supplied with butter upon request. Thoroughly enjoyed!!

I stopped by for lunch. We had the most amazing meals. The service was spot on and the chef is incredibly talented. She even came to our table to see if we were enjoying our meal. Absolutely the best food we've had in quite a while.

Amazing quality home made food! The prices are unreal and the views are even better. I would highly recommend checking out Canteen on the Green next time you are in Chemainus! You won't regret it!

Every time my friends and I have been there the food is great and the service is great and we love the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. We always love going there and enjoying ourselves

Wednesday night special was chicken wings Best wings I have had in a long time! The service was great and the location is beautiful looking out on the golf course

We had lunch here with friends and it was good. Two of us had the fish tacos and I had the beef dip with salad. Nice atmosphere and service.
