Probably our mistake for coming here on this day, since this was Lobster roll week which they were out of by 3 or 4 pm btw. We looked over the menu and they were QUITE LITERALLY out of stock on at least HALF of their other food listings as well. We were told that they actually had purposely abbreviated their menu, eliminating many items to account for demand for their high priced $34 Lobster roll. That's great except since they were OUT of that item as well, there was very little left to order. A sliced Brisket sandwich or something called a Gaudi i think which was pastrami, bacon, salami, and cheddar on a bun, was about all that was left of their meat varieties. We stopped at Mudgie's after a long drive from Toronto looking for a place with vegan options. Atmosphere, service, and food were some of the best I've had. We were seated outside the front entrance with gardens and small ornaments, which were very pretty this time of summer. We ordered and received our spinach dip after about 2 minutes. 6 minutes later, we received all our sandwiches at once, which were all incredible. Servers were all extremely friendly and enjoyed stopping for a quick chat every so often to check in. Would highly recommend this location and would definitely come again if I happen to be in Detroit again.
We ordered two cocktails and it took over 20 minutes from ordering to receiving our beverages (I even checked in the the bar tender after 10 to make sure our order went through on the app and we were told we were next). I know some people exaggerate wait times but this is not an exaggeration, order placed at 3:10 order received at 3:31. When they came out the drinks were just ok. Luckily we could close our tab on the app since we were basically forgotten about. Looking at other reviews it seems like speedy service is pretty hit or miss here.
The staff was very accommodating and kind. Our server checked on us several times. Everything was tasty though wish we had known the Cuban was made with pulled pork instead of sliced pork....The pulled pork was tasty just not what was expected on the sandwich, as have always had it with sliced pork. The broccoli salad was divine for sure. Will definitely be back as well as recommend it to others.

I rarely try new food let alone a new sandwich and have always been very picky so when my brother's wife said her friend works here and said it's a must try I was sceptical but I will say it was well worth going. Friendly staff, great service and a relaxing atmosphere! I'd recommend it especially if you want larger portions for your money with a touch of great taste to go along it's a must go to.
The food here is so fresh! Absolutely delicious. My husband is a hard critic and he said the Gutty was the BEST he’s had in a long time. We weren’t able to eat right away we got a carry out and even when we did eat our food hours later it was so good still.
Ate here for lunch on 8/21/2024 and it was amazing per usual! I ordered the corned beef on an onion roll with pickles and chips. Did not disappoint! Service was great and quick. Highly recommend!
second time here and I am deeply impressed. first time I had the tuna melt, this time the pastrami ruben. just incredible sandwhiches!!!

Wonderful food and service. Patty melt sandwich was fantastic and very flavorful. Excellent server and fast service.
This place is a hidden gem! You have to try them out you won't regret it.
