There were times, the food was good. But this was long time ago. I try to avoid this place nowadays. During the last 30 years we had several family reunions here but it got worse from year to year. The interior is kind of Baroque and notreally maintained since the last 30 years. Time stood still for the furniture and the painted walls. When talking about the food. The Zwiebelrostbraten (Roast with Onions) was good still 10 years ago. Then they put convencience food roasted onions as topping on it. Before it was home made stuff. I had supper with my German partner and her friends at this restaurant. The cuisine, as usual in southern Germany, is ‘deftig’: very rich, a bit on the fatty side and consisting of large portions. I had the pork loins with all the trimmings, others had the duck. One member of the party was a vegetarian, and they managed to cater for her as well, even though the menu did not explicitly mention vegetarian meals. This is an average restaurant. It looks nice on the inside. Traditional and cosy but the food and staff are average. Not suitable for small children or children who need some space to breathe. I ate fried carp and didn 't think much of it. Was OK. Our family had food which was not great and one of the dishes was said to be 'the worst I have ever had '. Wouldn 't return. Might be hit and miss. For that reason I will give 3 stars instead of 2.

The portions were big, but the chef is not an outstanding master. The lever noodle soop was salty and the lever noodle was not very good. The rest of the food was fine, but just like that. The atmosphere is of an average family restaurant with some arty decorations. The prices are not high at all. You can have a good dinner here, but you will perhaps look for some new challenges next evening.

Not having eaten in this part of the world for some years it was really nice to find a good 'old fashioned ' style German restaurant lavishly decorated in the old style (see pic). I finally decided on the 'Hauspfanne ' which was a good choice, although I need a good long walk as a result of the portion size! (see pic) I just wish it were nearer to Bristol :o)

The decor really needs an update, both inside and in the outside dining areas, but the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was reasonable and also reasonably priced. I thought it was Muller's not Muellers.

A smallish cafe just east of Nuremberg old town. The ambiance is almost as exceptional as the food. But call first...we got seated as long as we could be done in an hour and half. They are justifiably busy.

I've been at this restoraunt many time with an association, food is ok, the style is very German and people really kind. I hope I'll have the opportunities to come back and check the standard menu

Highly recommended! Absolutely delicious food at good prices. The waiter was very professional and spoke enough English to help us. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful!
