we had lunch here during our visit in October 2019 and loved it. it is a small and inconceivable restaurant that visited a lot of natives while we were there. eating is traditional and absolutely delicious. how many places in Germany they take only cash, do not let them stop trying. we had cork bags with red cabbage and roasted carrots, small salat, which was actually huge and contained olives and pumpkin seeds and had a yogurt dress, and a pork with spaetzle. all that was very, very good in the did! we would definitely return.
I wanted to try the Bäuerliche spezialität Dünnele, so I ordered one with pumpkin. On the plate came something that looked and tasted like a wet dish rug. The cheese had the same texture as Philadelphia cream cheese and the pieces of pumpkin were...easy to count. Two bites and that was enough for me. When we asked for the bill, the servant did not present us with it in writing, but he quickly rattled off some figures not possible for us to check. We are sure that he charged us about 15 euros too much. Never again.
First night in Konstanz and looking for a place to have a meal. This was featured in Lonely Planet so we thought to give it a go. Restaurant is right next to the cathedral in the corner of the square. They have an English menu....Good food and great service with reasonable prices. Venue is open till late (midnight). Highly recommended and would go back again if we had the opportunity.

Have had Linsen Spätzle there a few years back, and it has been outstanding. The sauce, the linsen, very delicious. So when our company went there for lunch, I decided to take that dish again. It was horrible. Lower grade canteen food. I will...not go there again. Either new management or they decided they can serve just about anything to tourists.
Just over the border from Switzerland is Konstanz. Highly recommend this town on a day trip from Zurich. This restaurant was very good. Fortunately we were able to get a table at this local place. There is no nearby parking since this is in the...old part. However the food is worth the walk and is reasonably priced. Euros only
we had dinner in this recommended restaurant, but I would say disappointing, typical German menu, we ordered an angusfilet, it was hard fibrous, inedible, immersed in a sauce similar to the foam of cappuccinos called caffè de paris, with a price of € 23,50.
beautiful restaurant with great location (outside) directly at the Münster.The service although a little "hot" but at any time friendly and courteous.The eating was plentiful and very tasty (saving with carving).all in a very good price/performance ratio.

directly on the münsterplatz is the münsterhof. the outside area is appealing, eating very well and plentiful. Flame cake and salads or also the extensive appetizer plate are recommended. the prices are moderate.
Purchased the Mittagsmenü to go. The soup was incredible and the main dish was excellent. For 8,90€ you can‘t beat it. Also came with fresh bread. I will be visiting weekly!
