Used to be a great pub until about 3 years ago, used to go regularly but every time I’ve been since it’s empty on Friday and Saturday nights when you expect it to be busy, the manager is the only pub landlord I’ve ever met who seems to hate having customers and he just wants you to leave as early as possible. Every thing is just a pain to him. Bar staff are friendly and seem to be carrying the pub but Last orders being called at 10pm on a Friday and Saturday night!! They used to put effort in to summer events and Christmas Day was always busy with loads of regulars but only about a third of the customer numbers this year. What a great location for a pub! Gardens on one side, adjoining a traditional rural English church (and graveyard! , and views across a field to the Malvern Hills in the other. There are many places to sit (two of the three gardens, as well as having tables, have kind of outdoor booths plus several tables within. The bar itself is small, but there was a good selection of snacks to accompany the drinks. Friendly and efficient staff, even though it was busy every time I've visited. Even though it's over a mile walk away, and there are nearer pubs, this is definitely my local, now.

What a fabulous, warm and welcoming pub. The young lad behind the bar was an outstanding example of customer service. (Even making a mug of tea for my elderly mother) Don’t let the limited menu put you off, the food is fresh and delicious. We were visiting for a funeral in the nearby church, had driven a fair bit and our visit here made a challenging day that little bit easier.

I have never had a better tasting or better served dish of eggs, chips, and ham than at this charming and unique inn. It is one of only two in the UK that is located within the grounds of a church. The views of the beautiful Malvern Hills are fantastic when sitting inside and looking out the windows. Réservez une table maintenant

The young man working behind the bar when he served us was quite impolite. When my husband went up for more drinks, the same young man had gathered glasses and placed them all in front of the hatch where my husband was being served. Even the bartender called him rude and apologized on his behalf.

Great visit to the Mug today ! A lovely fresh salad and scrummy ham roll made lovingly by Tina and delivered by loyal friendly staff lovely to see Russ again doing Jude proud its the best little gem a real pub keep up the hard work Mug house team !!!!!

Wonderful charming pub with friendly staff. Really enjoyed the afternoon with a brilliant pint and some nice food. The pub is full of character and the most beautiful view of the country side from the family room. Looking forward to returning again.

We had not been here for many years it was so nice to feel we had never been away.ham and cheese baguette with salad with a side of chips and a cheese baguette with salad.the real ale was v good. Réservez une table maintenant

Great watering hole after a good walk. Small but adequate menu and all very tasty. Good beer and atmosphere and as long as sunny fabulous outside seating.
