Went to the shop with my partner for fish and chips. Had a man serving us who was so rude speaking quickly followed by rude comments under his breath. The fish was not crispy at all, neither were the chips even properly cooked. My boyfriend found a black hair at the bottom of his meal to top off the entire experience. Sad to say we can no longer go in for our oysters because of this terrible experience we had today. The two ladies who we are normally served by are always lovely.... But this guy was just terrible as was the food. Will never be back..
I am on a trip here to Cairns with my daughter and I was not prepared to pay for overpriced fish and chips by the seaside in the CBD. So I looked at tripadvisor for advice and Mulgrave Seafoods did not disappoint. We walked 16 min from the CBD and it was well worth it for the $9 fish and chips pack. I also got the $13.50 basket with 1 fish, calamari and chips. The owner was also a friendly bloke and there are tables and chairs inside and outside for your meal. Doesn't have to be takeaway.
We work nearby and we have a great choice of eating options. Nothing beats a fish burger from this legendary fish and chip shop. If you're a fan of old school fish and chips cooked just the way you like it, that I'm confident to highly recommend this great little shop to you.
And they do deep fried Oysters and Mussels. Awesome! Great to phone order ahead for a quick lunch. Chips especially tasty. Always friendly service.

Fish always cooked to order, chips very good, friendly service and all at a great price. Went once and kept coming back. Can't fault it.
One of the best fish burgers I can remember. Everything was balance right, great flavour, I definitely have my new favorite burger fix
Mackerel and chips for $9.00, what else is there to say? Quick, tasty, cheap. You can't want more than that. Go back factor: High.
