Munch A Simple Kitchen

As west siders in town for business on the east side, we found ourselves hungry and turned to our Yelp app, where Munch was highly rated. With a daughter who’s vegan, we felt it was a must-try. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted at the door. Being first timers, we likely stood out, but our hostess/server was friendly and explained how everything works. We were offered samples of the soups of the day, which was a nice touch. My partner inquired about the chicken salad, and we got to taste that as well. As soon as I was done with my lunch, I put my house on the market, so I could move closer to Munch! Seriously, though, I can’t say enough about how pleased I was. They were so friendly, and helpful and welcoming. I’m vegan and I’m used to feeling like an outcast and a bother at restaurants, but they made me feel right at home. They went over the menu with me, and gave me samples, and made me feel great. And the food!!!! Amazing! It was unique and mega-delish. And I had options. Tried Munch for the 1st time yesterday. Really cute little place located in a nice shopping plaza. The staff was very friendly and the food was well packed. I ordered the sampler; you can pick 3 from a list of salads and dips. I got the egg salad, chicken salad and Lebanese salad. It came with a super generous amount of house made pita chips and veggies (cucumber, celery and carrots). None of the salads were great to be honest. They were all very bland and unremarkable. As I was short on time, I opted for takeout and am now enjoying everything back at my office. The soup is tasty, nice and hot with great flavor, and the sandwich is just as enjoyable. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, and the homemade pita chips have a delightful crunch. They also added a pickle, which wasn’t as crisp as I prefer, but I can be a bit particular about pickles! The tea is lovely as well, with no bitterness at all (which can sometimes happen with unsweetened varieties). Wait staff members have to be nice and respectful besides food service staff who nice always have a great attitude and respect get rewarded. I like giving a good Tip according to my Satisfaction with my meal and the meal and the Food and

The GPS directions were a bit off, but I'm really glad I found this hidden gem! As a locally owned and operated restaurant, they truly care about their customers. If you get the chance, definitely try the soup—it's fantastic!
