The restaurant had a bit of a spooky reputation. However, there was always a fantastic selection of homemade cakes, as well as high-quality tea and hot water. We enjoyed well-stuffed sandwiches accompanied by a salad garnish, a small cup of coleslaw, and some crackers. The Bakewell tart and lemon drizzle cake were both delicious. Unfortunately, the card machine was down during our visit, but there is a Coop nearby that has an ATM and cashback service.
We have often been to Munnings tea room at Lavenham and have never been disappointed, yesterday was just the same. The food fresh and delicious, tea plentiful. It was special as we were sent upstairs for a few minutes because we were early. A magical place. Totally wonky, windows going one way floor going another, the table showing up how delightfully crooked everything was. A very special visit for us. Thank you.
Lovely and quaint tea room. Just right for afternoon tea. You only get one choice each of sandwiches but as they are much larger than usual, and if 2 of you can do a swop, it wasn't a problem. The scones are amazing and equally large, with wonderful clotted cream and jam. We had to bring our cake home as we were so full. Definitely worth a visit but best to book.
A fantastic little gem, it feels like you're in a different world. All the food is fresh and homemade, delicious, and worth every penny! (10/10 for the strawberry!) The sandwiches are substantial enough to be a meal on their own! Réservez une table maintenant

The food quality is excellent, and the service is charming. They went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction. It was truly top-notch. We look forward to returning soon!
