Ja.... sowas gibt es noch.... mitten in Frankfurt, neben der chicen Goethestrasse. Ein kleines, urgemütliches klassisches Apfelweinlokal, dass so seit Jahrzehnten existiert. Ein Kleinod der Gemütlichkeit wo es sogar 0,2er Pils gibt . Bedienung immer auf Zack. Das Kotelett ist die Erfüllung schlechthin. Aber auch Handkäse, Kartoffelsalat, Bratwurst, grüne Soße..... einfach genial. Dazu noch dieses gemischte Publikum. Bänker, Handwerker, schicke ältere Damen aus der Taunus Gegend, Auswärtige und Einheimische, Japaner, Schweizer, Italiener, alles vertreten. Ein Besuch lohnt sich hier immer
Parken bei Louis Vuitton, schlendern bei Gucci und essen bei "Mutter Ernst".In Mitten sämtlicher Luxusgeschäfte liegt das urige Lokal Mutter Ernst. Als wir den Raum betreten hatten, dachten wir, die Zeit wäre stehen geblieben.,Bedienung war super freundlich, Essen kam schnell und war super lecker.Wo bekommt man noch ein paniertes Kotlett? Der Kartoffelsalat wie von Oma gemacht, ohne jegliches Chichi.......Grüne Sauce war das Highlight.Mutter Ernst: immer wieder gerne!
This place is wonderfully unpretentious and you'll find an eclectic mix of people here from retired people to students to guys in suits. The menu is pretty small and only classic local dishes. I had the leberkäse with potato salad. Very simple but tasty and the mustard matches it perfectly. Would go again.
This is a pleasant small restaurant serving good traditional German food. I was there for lunch and the food was good. The bread was very good, while the frankfurter plate was good. This is a historical venue.

This was one of the best food experiences during our trip. Typical German food, so simple but so delicious! Service is very friendly and they answer questions about the food with much pleasure!
Melhor bisteca que já comi na vida!!!! A salada e batata tb era mto mto boa!!! O atendimento não era dos melhores mas valeu pela comida simples e extremamente deliciosa!!!!
Симпатично и вкусно! Мы зашли на обед и взяли по сосиске: говяжья и свиная. Отличные! Подаются с картофельным салатом и горчицей с хлебом. То что надо на обед:)
A must if you are visiting Frankfurt, it is authentic food at a quite reasonable price. I visited this place for lunch with the family. Recommended.

We had potato salad with Wurst and mustard, all were actually good. The atmosphere is simple still charming.
