I was delighted to overhear the chef speaking kindly in Kannada to an elderly man and his son. It filled me with joy to hear my mother tongue in Canada! Initially, I was hesitant about the menu items, given my past experiences at various places—some of which were quite disappointing. But I decided to try the Mosaru Vada, a dark roasted Masala Dosa inspired by Vidyarthi Bhavan in Bangalore, along with some filter coffee. One of the best and most authentic udupi tasting food ever tasted in Canada. We were a party of 7 who visited today for the first time to this warm place and ordered a variety of of vegetarian dosas and appetizers. Mr. Shailu personally greeted us and made us comfortable. The wait staff were two very pleasing and courteous ladies. Everything exceeded our expectations by far. There are a plenty of good south Indian restaurants in the GTA and our expectations were already set at a high level and Mr. Shailu's place easily broke all our previous taste benchmarks. I grew up in South India, where my mom cooked incredible food. My appreciation for different cuisines expanded over time, but for me, nothing compares to South Indian cuisine—it's my comfort food. South India boasts at least four states, each with its own unique culinary styles, creating a paradise for the palate. In the Greater Toronto Area, Mysore Darshini serves the best South Indian food I've tasted; it feels as authentic as I can remember. We enjoyed dishes like uddin vada, idly with sambar, masala dosa, kesari bath, and of course, the iconic filter coffee.

We absolutely loved every food we ordered . It was freshly made and the best part was , it was the authentic Bengaluru style ! The dark roast masala dosa , crisp outside and soft inside so perfect !!. Mysore Darshini is a go to if craving for a authentic Karnataka style food . Please note as the saying goes “Good things come to those who wait “. It does take time to prepare the best food .so have patience! Every bite was worth the wait . The food was good but the owner's attitude ruined our entire experience. We understood and emphasized with the staff for their delays. But we were made to feel little when asked about the delays and on giving some obvious and easy suggestions (considering how short on staff they were). Instead of just accepting the feedback even if they didn't mean to use, they just said people don't know enough to give feedback.

I do love their signature double roast Masala Dosa but not very impressed with anything else as much. However very sweet staff and good service.Response to Mysore Darshini: Talk about being Savage for the heck of it. Lol! I definitely can search for a better restaurant good sir- because the options are endless. But the attitude sure can cost you customers and I’m glad you choose to display it at a public forum.

Was skeptical of going here as it was my first time, was pleasantly surprised by both quality and taste of food. Clean place, tasty food, ordered mysore dosa and loved it. Only one thing i didn't like was the small bowl size for sambar. Most of the other south indian restaurants offer sambar in decent size bowls. Other than this reason, i would have given the place a 5 star

One of the best places to eat the masala dosa. A very friendly owner. He ensured we were comfortable and the bisi belle bath was the best. Speaking to him in Kannada was amazing.Would visit there often.

This is the best dosa place I have ever been to in Canada. Dosa is really crispy and delicious. It just reminds Me of Vidhyarthi Bhavan(hotel in Bangalore). It’s better than Saravana bhavan.
