As you enter you can see the sushi bar on the left and the restaurant on the right. You can order all food in both places so it purely depends on where you want to sit. When we entered we were told we had to sign in either by the app or give our name and address. I am not sure how people will feel about this as restrictions such as this have been lifted at the moment and is no longer mandatory. I completed my name and address as I had the feeling I would not be allowed to eat here if I didnt. We opted to sit at the sushi bar area as we hadn't booked and liked the idea of just picking up starters as they came around to us. Prosecco 4.95 125ml measure. I was a nice prosecco but it looked very small due to the bog glasses used so maybe smaller glasses should be used or charge more but fill the glass a bit more as alot of restaurants around here actually go up to 200ml so it's presented better in bigger glasses. We picked up four sushi plates , two were salmon , one was prawn and one was Eel. All of them had great flavours in the rice and the fish used was seasoned well and you could tell it was great quaility. Salmon nice kick ,good quaility tuna White dish £3.25 Green dish £2.25 Blue dish £4.25 We ordered some Teriyaki dishes as well, I ordered us the chicken Gyro as she had never tried it and it is one of my favourite dishes. It perfectly cooked abd my friend commented on how tasty it was £4.95 Chicken Teriyaki Bonburi My friend had it and said straight away it was tasty, she couldn't finish it but she really enjoyed it. £9.45. Prawn katsu I have never had it before so I was interested in trying it, very nice thick curry abd very good quaility prawbs. Rice was cooked perfectly , great meal. £10.25 Service was strange as some of it was very good such As one young lad checked if our meals were OK and when we requested some wasabi and ginger theyvwere happy to accomodate but we were never asked if we we wanted another drink , if we needed anything else and when we were looking to pay the staff member was a bit blunt that if we were paying by card we had to go to the till in the restaurant, which was fine but there are ways to say things and it came across a bit blunt. The young lad that checked on our food was lovely , he was the only member of staff that showed us much interest. The food deserved a tip but service except one lad did not. As I know the kitchen rarely gets any of the tips in restaurants I didnt feel I could give one on this ocassion. The food was fantastic!! And the service was not awful but it was lacking on this ocassion except for one member of the team.
We got our sushi for takeout, we only got a small selection as it was just before we was suppose to go for dinner. Got some california roll, baked salmon roll, avocado and cucumber rolls. Rice wasn’t dry and everything had so much flavour. wish we pigged out and got so much more than we did. We’re not from the area but i’m sure we will be back again to try out that conveyor belt they have..
happily returned to nami sushi with a friend, the sushi was just as tasty fresh, the staff are friendly efficient, ensuring that tables was cleaned sanitised when customers left! Over all I'm friend I was satisfied enjoyed our first visit back, i wish I could give more than 5 stars! Highly recommend if you like amazing sushi
