Starting with the cleanliness and atmosphere, it was amazing. The gospel music playing in the background gave the feel of being at a family gathering on a Sunday. The customer service was rated at 9.7 out of 10. Although my original choice was the Chicken, I was persuaded to try the Catfish. The staff even allowed me to taste the Catfish before making my decision, and it was well-seasoned. I ended up ordering Catfish Nuggets, Yams, and Cabbage. My friend, on the other hand, ordered Chicken, Collard Greens, and Potato Salad, but his order was mixed up and he also received Catfish. The Catfish was rated at 9.5 out of 10, the Yams were a solid 10 out of 10, the Cabbage could use more seasoning...
We just finished our first meal from this amazing place and let me tell you this food is spectacular. I'm from Georgia, my husband is from Kansas City, and we've been looking for authentic southern food since we moved here 8 years ago. It took us a while to finally try this place (we've tried a few other places and have been disappointed) and man do we regret waiting so long. Finally found it! It's not easy to come across good, authentic soul food in Seattle, but Nana's is the place to go. The fried catfish is pure happiness, the large chicken wings don't even need salt or seasoning - they're just perfect. And don't even get me started on the Mac and cheese, we polished that off without hesitation. The potato salad had just the right touch of sweetness. And the women who take pride in their 4 generations of soul food are as lovely as the food itself. Make sure to treat yourself to a meal here, you won't be disappointed. I visited Nana's Southern Kitchen for lunch today and left quite disappointed by their take on southern cuisine. Upon arrival, I was promptly assisted and informed that my food would be brought out to my car. I wanted to dine inside, but it didn’t seem like that was an option. The food smelled delicious during the short drive home, but the catfish was soggy and paired with a tartar sauce that looked off—it tasted just as bad as it looked. I tried the macaroni and cheese next, but could only manage one bite as it was gray and unappetizing. The cornbread was overly sweet, more like cake than what I expected. Overall, the meal was overpriced and truly disappointing. I won’t be returning.

We had a quick lunch at Nana's and thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Chicken, Tenders, and Catfish we ordered. My son had the Kid's Meal with Tenders and Mac. My wife and I had Collard Greens and Mac with two main entrees. The food was cooked to order, tasted fresh, and was prepared with care. Oh, yeah they had grape Kool-Aid. The only thing I would've preferred differently was the cornbread, it was served at room temperature, and I think warm would've been great; minor quibble, though.The staff/hosts were mellow and welcoming. Let's just say I was very disappointed. One picture I started, the other picture I was one and done. The catfish was the best out of everything, but I was hopeful to no avail. I have my leftovers to a homeless person that would enjoy it more than I did . Because at $62 $20 tip) I did not want to waste it. However, the service was superb in the atmosphere was very chill.
Family inspired, Love intended, the history of this place is beautiful, you can taste the intent in every bite, we didn't capture a picture of the incredible plates, I have waited a long time to taste love food like this. Thank Kyan for sharing your family with my family. We will be back!
The Southern comfort food at Nana's Southern Kitchen is outstanding. We especially loved the collard greens, mac and cheese, and shrimp. We sampled every entree on the menu, and each one was absolutely delicious.

Me and my son came here for the very first time and had an excellent dining experience. The food was flavorful and filling. The lovely host was very friendly. We will definitely be back for sure!
