Great place. This must be the best restaurant that my husband Peter Halley and I have visited for a while. We appreciate REALLY amazing food (and we go out to find it I promise) in the meantime this is the place around Guilford and Branford area to go if you want EXCELLENT and delicious food filled with family owners charm, the knowledge of cooking and the love of cooking two very important parts of holding a five star restaurant. You know the true character of a business based on how they resolve an issue. There was a mix up a few weeks ago and how they handled it was amazing. We celebrated my 41st birthday there on Sunday with my wife and 2 kids and the staff was very attentive to all of our needs. They had kid meals and a variety of choices for dinner. For appetizers we had the prime meatball and the some of the jumbo shrimp cocktail..along with an assortment of cheese, breads, and fruits. They were all amazing! My wife ordered the heavenly poached Maine Lobster and I ordered the prime filet and both were cooked to perfection. Absolutely phenomenal experience for my husband and my anniversary dinner. The waiting staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was great. It was a perfect balance of familiarity and novelty, delicious food done in a very adventurous way. And I love how 20% of the bill is added to pay employees a living wage, they really deserve it! Also very interesting that it is BYOB. Pretty much fun and delicious experience. Will definitely go back.
dining experience phenomenal. Waiters and waiters were great! Water was always filled and food was always on the table. All the food we had was great next to my entrée. Some of the shellfish were undercooked. The 20% satisfaction is also a little confusing. No one in my party knew if that was the tip or not the tip. I wish I had more photos because the record was great.
